Masking, identity and your needs
We can explore identity, sensory and social demands, relationships and the effort of fitting other people’s expectations. Sessions may focus on recognising your needs, asking for adjustments or understanding the self-criticism that can build after years of feeling misunderstood.
You do not need a formal diagnosis to discuss these experiences. This is counselling, not a diagnostic assessment. We can talk about communication preferences, processing time and what would make sessions more accessible.
Space to explain how life feels for you
You might manage well at work but feel depleted afterwards, rehearse conversations or struggle to explain why an everyday task takes so much effort. We can explore the pressure to keep up, the impact on relationships and what you need from the people around you.
Making sessions more accessible
We can discuss a clear focus for each session, time to process questions, breaks and whether bringing written notes would help. You are welcome to ask for a question to be rephrased or say when the pace feels too fast.
Read a reflection on finding a kinder inner voice.
