Confidence and Self-Worth

You might feel you must keep achieving, avoid mistakes or say yes to be good enough. Praise may be difficult to take in, while a small criticism stays with you. Being capable on the outside does not always mean feeling secure inside.

Questioning the pressure to be good enough

We can explore how these expectations developed and how they affect work, relationships and decisions. You might want to practise expressing preferences, notice unhelpful comparisons or understand the fear that comes with disappointing someone.

You don’t have to perform in counselling. There is room to question an idea, disagree and say when something doesn’t fit.
